The date of the Mayor's visit is not recorded, but given the weather and that some of the children are in Scout / Guide uniform (traditionally may be worn on the four patron saints days) it may well be St Andrew's Day, 30 November. This is confirmed by both the date and the day being clearly visible on Mrs. Field's blackboard.
