write-up:
Many memories were recalled at Breakspear Junior School on Thursday when former colleagues of Marilyn Mee returned to help celebrate her 25th anniversary. Miss Mee (pictured) joined the Bushey Road school straight from college on September 8, 1968. Around 70 friends, including 40 who had taught with her over the years, returned to congratulate her on her silver anniversary. During an after-school tea party, she was presented with a nest of tables and a bone china figurine to make the occasion. Miss Mee will continue to teach at the school where several of her pupils are the children of those she taught in her first years there. [Gazette, 22 September 1993] |
