2002  ~ Year 5 ~ At the Court of King Henry

We are invited
to join the court of Henry VIII

The Jesters are ready to present
the evening's entertainment.

Henry is greeted with his own song, 'Pastime with Good Company'.

Then the courtiers rise ...

to dance a slow ...

and stately pavan.

The acrobats then appear ...

to show their skills to the king.

The rustics perform a lively dance.

The musicians entertain

with one of the king's favourite songs ...

Greensleeves.

The story of Lord Arthur ...

is retold in words and actions...

by everybody.

The sword dance needed
careful footwork....

and a great deal of concentration.

By the look of King Henry, he certainly enjoyed the evening!
