The Breakspear Archives

2002  ~ Year 6 ~ Bhaktivedanta Manor

On Tuesday 5 March Year 6
visited Bhaktivedanta Manor ...

the centre for the International Society
for Krishna Consciousness.

Amongst the things we saw
was the school for the children
of the families who live there.

We also heard about the Hindu
prayer beads.

As you can see, the trip in the
ox cart was great fun ...

and also saved us
the walk across to ...

... the cow byre.

Here we met some cows
(as you would expect) ...

and gave them some carrots to eat.

Back in the main building ...

we listened to a talk on the
Hindu religion.

We heard about some
of their customs ...

Some of us dressed up ...

to represent some of the
Hindu gods...

while the rest of us listened
very carefully.

Then we were all given
the opportunity ...

to try out the Indian clothes...

before visiting the main shrine
for this final photograph.
