The Breakspear Archives

2005  ~ February:
Year 6, Trip to Bhaktivedanta Manor

It was a cold, but sunny day.

We were first taken around the grounds.

Then we boarded the ox cart

and set off for the cow sheds.

We enjoyed the trip.

We visited cows, though you can't see any in this picture!

Then we went into the warm.

We learn how the Hindus meditate...

and about some of their customs.

Next we heard about their gods.

Some of us were dress in costumes.

Each has special clothes,
each with a different meaning.

We also decorated our faces.

and put on the special shawls.

Just putting the finishing touches.

Some of the gods look quite fearsome.

We found the stories quite fascinating.

Finally we visited the shrine.
