20 April 2006  ~ Year 4 Indian Workshop

                       

During the second half of the Spring Term and into the Summer Term 
Year 4 find out about India.  This is also linked to their work on water, 
for some areas of India seriously lack fresh water 
- something we take for granted.

This year the class teachers felt a 'workshop' would help the children 
understand aspects of life for a child growing up in India.

The workshop tied in very well with the work that had been done on Chembakoli
We were first introduced to the activities Then we had to work in groups
We had some help 
in understanding what to do 		There was a great deal 
of discussion
Gradually we worked out something  ...we could present to others 
I would want to carry this 3km every day! Almost ready!
Then each group presented something different
about life in India.
We ended with  some Indian dancing.
