On Monday 5 February some children from Years 5 & 6 
went to Sacred Heart School in Ruislip after school 
for the annual inter-school cross country races.

Despite the wet weather in January, Mrs. Gray and Miss Day had held 
many practices and eventually the final trials to select the teams. 

Both the boys' and the girls' teams were in top form for the challenge ahead 
- 14 schools taking part, over 150 participants in each of the races, 
not to mention the mud 
(though they had previously encountered plenty of that on Top Field!)

While waiting, the need for plenty of fluid intake and keeping warm 
were lessons that had been clearly been learnt!

The girls’ team came in seventh place out of fourteen schools. 
The boys’ team came in second place, only four points behind the winning team. 
One of boys, Ross, came overall third - a fantastic individual performance.
