Teaching English in the Netherlands

Breakspear could soon feature in materials being developing in the Netherlands
for teaching English .

On Monday 26 several children were filmed in their homes with their parents,
showing what English home life is like and using everyday phrases.
The next morning the team turned up early (7.30 a.m.)
to prepare for filming children at school.
After filming outdoors, showing children from Year 5 walking to school,
the action moved to Mrs Walker's classroom

Children from each of the Year 5 classes collect in Mrs Walker's room.
The filming team come in and set up

First the director (who also does the filming) explains to the class
what he needs to film and how they can help him.

How many children are there?  Counting to 30.

Next we need a teacher.  Fortunately Mrs. Walker is close by.

This is a numeracy lesson - with the children saying their tables.

That went well, and everybody seems pleased.

Then outdoors.  It is only 10 a.m. but time for play already.
Needed, a football team, but most of the girls don't want to play!

That was great fun!

Now it's lunchtime for some children from Year 6.
The cooking room was used for this.

It was an interesting morning and we're now looking forward
to see what the material looks like once it's edited.
