Our
team of eight players travelled to Harlyn School to participate in
this event. The girls had a terrific time but unfortunately didn’t quite manage to reach the quarter-finals. The team drew against Field End 1-1, lost 1-0 to Ruislip Gardens (with the goal scored in the last 45 seconds), they beat Harlyn (3-0) but by the final match, legs were feeling heavy and the team lost to Warrender (eventual finalists) 0-3 . This competition now reflects the increased level of female participation in girls’ football in the borough and the standards were very high indeed. |
