It is not every day that Breakspear Junior School is reported on the sports pages of The Times but the school's cricket team found ourselves mentioned in Thursday’s paper after our participation in a ‘Chance to Shine’ cricket festival in Regent’s Park. A talented group of players from Years 5 and 6 was chosen to compete and they found themselves in the final at the end of a very long, hot and challenging day. At that stage they lost by 20 runs.  However, much to their delight, they were then invited to Lord’s Cricket Ground (the home of cricket!) for another tournament.  Well done to all involved but a special thanks to our cricket captain, Marwan Mohammad.
