8 November 2007  ~ Year 4 visits Verulamium

Fortunately is was mild for the time of year as Year 4 set off to explore Roman Britain as it was lived in Verulamium, now part of modern St Albans.

Ready and waiting to explore the museum.

We saw a beautiful mosaic floor that must once have brightened someone's home.

In no time at all it was the most important event of the day - lunch time!

Then it was time to look at some real Roman objects - as well as some copies.

Finally some 'dressing up' though I'm not sure any of us would like
to face an English winter with clothes like these!

It was a great day and we learnt a lot!
