6 February 2007  ~ Britain since 1930 - 6D's Day

When 6D set off for London it was a bright sunny day.
Would it stay like it, after all there was quite a bit of walking to do ....

Off they went on the Central Line

... from West Ruislip

First stop, a walk from St Paul's via the Millennium Bridge to Tate Modern.
After seeing the things they were supposed to see ...

Now this is modern art ...

at its best!!.

"We could do with
one of these at school!"

After that, off they set for a walk
along the Embankment
towards London Bridge....

... not forgetting a stop for a brief photo opportunity.
Inside the Britain at War experience 6D (and Frank)
tried to imagine what it must have been like to live through the Second World War.
They tried on uniforms...  and took shelter during an air raid.
Finally they set off for home, checking in the evening paper to see what had happened in the world while they had been taking a journey back in time.
