Each class had made up several boxes of gifts that would be sent to areas of the world where children's lives are far from kind to them 
and who would otherwise receive nothing.
On Monday 10 November we were joined by the 
Rev. Bernie Collins of Ickenham United Reform Church to receive the boxes 
on behalf of Operation Christmas Child.

 We all met in the hall and, after a short video showing the work of the charity 
each year group brought out their boxes. 

Then, with a child from each class gathered round the boxes, we blessed them, 
thinking about the children who would receive them.

After the assembly Mrs. Davonport's class took the boxes down to
 Rev. Collin's car so he could take them off to the collection centre
and the start of their long journey across Europe.
