National School Sports Week

Monday 30 June saw the first ever National School Sports Week.
The week had been introduced to:

  • Celebrate all that has been achieved in PE and School Sport over the last year

  • Launch new initiatives and developments in PE and School Sport

  • Profile all the amazing things that are happening in PE and
    School Sport nationally and encourage all school to raise

The term was very busy and we had already held our Sports Days, also Year 6 had left for their school journey.  But we could not let the week pass unnoticed!
Miss Day decided we'd celebrate with some healthy fitness routines before school every morning - staff and parents were to join in to show their commitment.

8.40 a.m. and a lovely sunny day, Miss Day calls us all over to teach us a routine...

And off we go...
Children in front, staff and parents behind...

Fortunately every day had good weather
(there was a brief shower on the Thursday, but we kept going while a parent thoughtfully covered the CD player with his umbrella!)

Thank you Miss Day - that was a great idea;
we started the day really fit and ready for work!
