Concrete 'joists' were then laid on the low brick walls.

Once all the joists were in place, the drainage and sewage pipes were all put in place. Then large bricks were inserted into the spaces 
and a coating of cement filled the gaps.  The 'floor slab' is complete!

 At the end of March the Local Authority eventually gave approval 
for the types of brick to be used. 
The bricks begin to arrive and a start was made in marking out the ground plan 
of the separate areas: studio, store, toilets, PA store, PE store and games shop.
