The Year 4 Water Aid Bring and Buy

Year 4 had been planning it for weeks - the posters had gone up, the announcements went into the Newsletters, the tables placed on the field - even the weather was just right for the 2008 Bring and Buy sale to support Water Aid.
In fact we can see from the following picture
that the teachers had made themselves quite redundant!

All the games had been planned by the children, they had also collected the materials, sorted the prizes, and designed their posters advertising their stalls.

Mr. Rutter was a little curious what the children intended to do with these blocks,
one labeled Miss Burns, the other Mr. Rutter.
So he hung around to find out!
Face painting and hair spraying was as popular as ever, though the Headteacher
was disappointed to find he couldn't get his nails painted this year.
But there was plenty of other things to try.
Everybody was clearly having a great time
With the cakes and drinks selling well
And, with a careful eye, there were some real bargains to be found
Well done Year 4, that was a great event -
and you raised more than £750, the highest total we've ever had,
that will go to save many people's lives through providing clean water.
