Year 4's Walk to Denham Country Park - 1

Year 4 walked to Denham Country Park in July.
They were studying the place of water in our lives.
Along the way they passed three rivers and the Grand Union Canal.
They also had a number of challenges they had to navigate successfully.
Let's follow them out of the classroom...

...through the undergrowth beside the River Pinn
(avoiding brambles and stinging nettles - Challenge No.1)

...across Breakspear Road South (Challenge No.2),
past the barking dogs and hissing geese (Challenge No. 3),

... through the field (avoiding the cows - Challenge No.4),
and across Harvil Road (Challenge No. 5) after which a rest was needed.

Then through the golf course, taking care to avoid flying golf balls (Challenge No. 5)
and across the swamp, which fortunately was fairly dry (Challenge No. 6)

...between four reservoirs to emerge beside the Grand Union Canal, leaving the Challenges behind.
