6S take part in the reopening of Ruislip Library

We were asked if a group of pupils from the school would like to be present for the re-opening of Ruislip Library.  Ruislip Library is part of the heritage area, comprising the manor house, great barn and the library - it being partly within another ancient barn.  We were very pleased to be asked and sent one of the Year 6 classes - 6S.

When we arrived, we went into the refurbished children's section -
we were the first group of children to use this.
We were met by the librarian from Harefield Library who read us several poems.

Then we had a quiz to do which we had to explore the area carefully.

While we were doing the quiz the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Crowe, had officially opened the main part of the library and then joined us along with Cllr Higgins.

Finally we went up to the new ICT section
and that's where you'll find us on the Council Website..
