Father Christmas Visits Breakspear

Yet again Father Christmas (known as Santa Claus to our continental neighbours)
chose to abandon his reindeer-drawn sleigh to visit Breakspear.
His visit was timed to coincide with the Infant School parties
and his chosen form or arrival was an RAF helicopter
- rumors have it that he'd arrange this with someone 'very high up'.

The first sighting of Father Christmas' 'copter was around 2.30 p.m.

As the helicopter circled the school,
Father Christmas' highly experienced expert pilot
saw a convenient landing place - the field.

Safely down, all waited expectantly for a first sighting of the distinguished visitor.

Finally, to the delight of all the Infant School and Year 3 who had gathered outside, Father Christmas emerged from the helicopter
and, after a brief word or two, entered the Infant School
followed by hundreds of expectant children. .
