The local schools' cross country race was set for 8 February.  
Both teams took part, with the girls' team first. 
As a team they came in at third place, with several in good strong positions.

During the boys' race a mistake occurred significantly shortening the race.
This disadvantaged those boys who had correctly paced themselves.
It was therefore decided to re-run the race on Thursday 11 February.

A final burst of speed put Daniel into overall third, 
with Harry just behind him in fourth. 
The team as a whole came in at fourth place.

Both the girls' and boys' teams go forward 
to the Local Authority finals on the 1 March
