28 May 2010 ~ Year 4's Indian Workshop - 2

On the last day before the summer half term Year 4 held their Indian Workshop.
Often we have visitors who present workshops.
However this was different: we draw on the talents of our pupils and staff
to present the workshop.

Rangoli
Children designed their own version of the traditional rangoli patterns
that are painted on the body for important ocassions.
Mrs. Marwaha painted children's hands with rangoli patterns.

Food
The taste of Indian food can be quite different from traditional English food.
This is especially true of sweets!
It's clear that in trying the various foods some were greatly enjoyed
- others took some getting used to.  What is important is trying them!
