On Thursday 21 July we held a special assembly 
to say 'Goodbye' to Mrs. Slade.
She had taught continuously at Breakspear for 23 years, 
and worked in the school for about another 8 years.

This assembly was a surprise - everybody knew about it except Mrs. Slade!

The staff and former colleagues had bought Mrs. Slade a new garden seat.
The children gave her the cushion to put on it, 
some tokens, flowers, a 'Memory Book' with pictures from the past 23 years, 
and wonderful cards, one from each class. 

Best wishes for a long and happy retirement Mrs. Slade.  
We shall miss you!
