We were invited to come to school for 
World Book Day as a character from a book.

To take part not only did we have to find the right clothes 
but also complete a sheet of information about our character 
in writing and pictures (these would later become part of a class book).

In the afternoon Mrs O'Donnell led a special assembly.

There were also some 'judges': 
they looked suspiciously like Mrs. Grimwood and Mrs. Weaver.

It had been a very interesting day, making us think about books 
and the characters in them, and encouraging us 
to try some we have not read.
