~ Year 6 Visit the British Museum - 1

Over three days each of the Year 6 classes visited the British Museum
to study its Egyptian artifacts.
Setting off soon after the start of school, we headed for West Ruislip Station
and the underground journey into London.

Once in front of the museum it was time for a short photo opportunity.

Once inside we headed for the education centre to leave our coats and bags.

Then it was off to the ground floor Egyptian Galleries
What did we see?
Well, there was the Rosseta Stone, of course - if you could get near enough.

Then there were lots of carved stone statues, sarcophagi and columns.
