13 February 2013  ~ Year 6 Visit the Globe Theatre and the Museum of London - 6B's Day

On 13 February 2013 6B set off for the Globe Theatre and the Museum of London.
Once off the Underground we paused for a quick photo opportunity in front of St Paul's Cathedral before crossing the Millennium Brige.

When we arrived at the Globe Theatre we thought about what London must have looked like when it was build over 400 years ago.

Once inside the Globe Theatre we listened to a description
of the theatre and how it was used in Shakespeare's day.

Then we looked at the museum section with Tudor costumes
and other things today with how plays were performed over 400 years ago.

We then set off back across the Millennium Bridge
and headed towards The Museum of London.
After lunch we explored the galleries to find information
to find to support our current project - Britain Since 1930.

There was a whole section on 'Watch With Mother',
a children's programme from the 1950's....
... 'Andy Pandy' and 'The Flowerpot Men'

Before we leave the museum we take a look at
the Lord Mayor of London's State Coach.
