Christmas Party Day!
But before all the games and a visit from Father Christmas
an occasion to bid farewell to Dr Rutter.
Miss Wharton lead a special assembly.
Miss Hall had prepared some special songs for the children to sing.

The children had been thinking about what Dr Rutter
could do in his retirement ...
visit the pyramids, take a dog for a walk?
Both excellent ideas!

There was a special present.
What could be inside the box?

Opening up ...
a 'free school meal' (on a blue tray!)

A comfy bed (complete with teddy) 
and a copy of The Iron Man to read.

A second gift, helpers were needed to open this.
A wonderful collage of pictures from around the school.

Then a leather bound book from the Parents' Association.

Thank you children - so much to be treasured,
