5D and half of 5C set off on Monday 2
June for Derbyshire. First stop a break at a service station somewhere on the M40. |
|
|
|

|
Eventually we got to Matlock Bath and
the Heights of Abraham. Off the coach and a stiff walk uphill. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
After a short pause to get our breath back we visited the Nestus Mine. |
|
|
|
|
|
Back into the light and it was time for lunch. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
And then? .... Yes, you've guessed it, more uphill walking! |
|
|
|
|
|
Finally we were at
the top (we thought) and got ready |
