12 February 2014  ~ Year 6 Visit the Globe Theatre and the Museum of London - 6B's Day

After taking the underground to St Paul's,
while walking around the Cathedral, we stop for a photo pause.

Once round St Paul's, and having crossed the road,
time for a quick snack - lunch will be a long time away!

Then across the Millennium Footbridge
and inside the Globe Theatre
[Click on the photograph below to see a short film about the Globe in 1600]

After looking at the theatre we visited the museum
with Tudor costumes and other things
to show how plays were performed over 400 years ago.

We then set off back across the Millennium Bridge
to The Museum of London.
After lunch we explored the galleries to find information
supporting our current project - Britain since 1930.

Two of us stand guard over the original doors from the lift at Selfridges.

Before we leave the museum we take a look at
the Lord Mayor of London's State Coach.
