A SERIES OF
OPEN DAYS
Breakspear Junior School, Ickenham, are holding a series of open-days this week. The series began on Tuesday night when Mr. Fred Sabin, divisional education officer, and 200 parents saw two musical plays performed by the second and fourth year pupils. The first was a Dutch children’s operetta called “Play Days in Happy Holland”, given by the second year juniors. A musical fantasy, “Frolicsome Hours,” was presented by the fourth year children. On Wednesday afternoon first and second year juniors gave a display of their work and a religious play was performed by the first year juniors. To-night (Thursday) in the school playground a folk dancing display and physical training display will be given. In the school afterwards performances by the school choir, trained by music teachers, Mrs. V. J. Scott, verse speakers trained by the headmaster, Mr. F. W. Ward, and by the school orchestra. |
