The Gazette of 8 April 1955 carried the news that the BBC had come to Breakspear to film the children at work on a tapestry (see The BBC Visits, page 2 of the archives for 1955).  The photograph given above would appear to have been taken at the same time.  That below some months later once the tapestry was complete and hung in the hall (now the ground floor hall).  For some time now the tapestry has hung outside the Year 6 classrooms.
