8.30 a.m. 4 February 2002 -
Mrs. Gray, with her class
begin the skipping marathon!
The first group in was Year 3.
9.00 a.m. and a
little gentle warm up ...
... staff included - it all looks good fun!
While Year 6 keep the skipping going, Year 3 listen
what to do.
Year 3 begin skipping,
one child from each group
with
Year 6 to keep the count.
Year 4 are next.
Plenty of enthusiasm here!
After play - 11.20 a.m. Now Year 5
take on the
challenge.
Those waiting their turn wait patiently but with a
critical eye!
Though rather hazy, we can make out Miss Coburn
joining in.
Mrs. Gray's class kept it going through lunch.
Then the Year 6's did the two-hour slot after lunch...
... ending at 3.30 p.m. with a great
celebration! Thank you children!
On 24 April Mrs. Gray took assembly.
We had a guest from
the British Heart Foundation...
Mr. Ian Stewart.
He came to receive a large cheque
for £3,028 we
raised on
Jump Rope for Heart Day.
He also talked to us about what the money we raised
would buy...
... and to thank us for the effort we put into
raising so much!
