2.   On 27 March the South-East England Six-a-Side Football Tournament was played at Luton.  The Breakspear team emerged runners-up to the winning team. However, this was sufficient to take them through the the National Finals at Lilleshall.

Their success in the Regional Tournament was recorded in the Gazette, though this did not appear until the day after the Middlesex Primary Schools' Eleven-a-side final of the Alf Gant Cup - referred to in the article - had been played.

3.   The augmented eleven-a-side team played in the final of the Middlesex Alf Gant Cup on 21 April where they lost to George Spicer School.

4.   The On Saturday 24 April the team, sporting new teeshirts emblazoned with the school's shield, traveled to Lilleshall.  In the finals, although they lost to the overall winners (the same team that had defeated them in the Regional Finals), to be second out of the whole of England was a fantastic achievement.
