22 - 26 May 2006 - Book week. On Monday 22nd Michael Cox the author, came to talk to us.



He certainly made some of us think that we'd like to be writers!
Friday 26 May 2006 'Dress as a story Character' Competition
At the end of the week we had a special competition with everybody dressed as a favourite story character. The winners would be taking part in the parade at the start of the Ickenham Festival Gala Day. A number of staff had chosen their own favourite characters...


Once we were all in the hall we all had a look at each other's costumes.

Then Mrs Hope was ready to lead the special assembly.

First we saw the winners from each of the Year 3 classes...

And then Year 4... including The Enormous Crocodile	... and Captain Underpants.

There was a character from The Railway Children	... and a presentation...

or two.

Year 5 followed...	with a Denise The Menace or two.

They too gave a presentation.

Year 6 concluded the event.

Dr Who met Cruella De Vil !

All the winners were invited to take part in the parade at the Ickenham Festival Gala Day on 17 June. Here we are, ready for the judging by the Mayoress.

We won the third prize. And then we set off for Swakeleys Park.
