On
29 June Year 6 pupils took part in the annual Vyners Primary Schools
Sports Festival. This was four hours of non-stop sport and a picnic in
the park. Breakspear Junior, Whiteheath and Glebe have been working
closely together in a ‘cluster group’ to promote school sport and
club links. This year the festival had a World Cup football theme and
during the day goals were awarded for endeavour and participation.
The activities included Tag Rugby, Rounders, Indoor Athletics, Outdoor
and Adventurous Activities, Football, Cricket, Tennis and Handball.
At the final ceremony, it was
announced that Breakspear Junior had scored the highest number of goals
during the day and Year 6 regained the trophy from Whiteheath (last
year’s winners). |
