Jeff Rich was a member of the pop group Status Quo for 14 years 
between 1986 and 2000. He was their drummer.

He came to talk to us about how he had become a drummer, about the different types of drums there are, and to get us all involved in making music.

After a brief history of how he became interested in drumming, he showed us various types of drum - and got some of us to try them out.

Playing a drum is not as easy as it looks and one or two wondered why they had volunteered!

There was the 'talking drum' and the 'marching drum' ...
