and there had been the setting up the evening before, 
but good weather, she thought, brings in the crowds."

Now who in their right mind willingly agrees to go in the stocks? 
- quite a few it would seem from the number going around with wet hair.

All those throwing and kicking skills practiced in games 
are now put to good use to win prizes.

Others are testing their strength.

What about the Human Fruit Machine, or hooking a luck bag?

The swing boats are some people's choice.
