Ickenham Library had
been closed for several months while the interior was redesigned to
provide a more suitable environment for the 21st century.
The school was
invited to visit the library
for the official opening on Tuesday 26 January.
The first group to
visit was of pupils from each of the classes in Years 5 & 6. |
Both groups enjoyed
a short dramatic presentation
from students from Vyners in the new 'activities' room |
During the
presentation to the first group the library was officially opened.
Some of the first group had their photograph taken with the mayor |
Then it was time to
visit the new children's section. |
All enjoyed
listening to a story told by one of the librarians.
The second group were able to
visit the now ICT area -
though the adults had beaten them to the 'Apples'! |
Then, after some refreshments,
it was time to head back to school.
