13 December 2011 ~ 4H's visit to Verulamium

        

On the 13 December Year 4 set off for St Albans 
and the Roman city of Verulamium.
First stop for 4H, across the road and the site of the
ancient Roman theatre - an out doors theatre.

Then back into Verulamium Park and the hypocaust.

Lunch time and fortunately we were able to use a hall near by -
cramped but warm - it all looked very Christmassy. 
 After lunch, back into the museum and we were able to study
some genuine Roman remains at close quarters. 
 
 Finally some of us dressed up in Roman style costume.
