Then it was back to the Youth Hostel for lunch ...

... before setting off to Matlock Bath again, 
this time for the Temple Mine and panning for gold.

Also in Matlock Bath we visited the Mining Museum where they had some tunnels similar to those in the mines - we enjoyed climbing through these!

Back at the Youth Hostel we had our evening meal, 
some quiet time writing up notes about the day's activities 
before setting off again to the village playing field for games.
