Though once inside, some prefer a little more style!

First stop - the palace kitchens where there is much to explore.

However, the ovens and fires were not alight, so it was pretty cold.
We hurried on to the warmth of the great hall.
A real feeling of grandeur 
- made one or two sit up, feeling important.
