We were invited to come to school for 
World Book Day as a character from a book:

- if we were in the Nursery we thought about bedtime stories, 
so came dressed in our pyjamas;

- if we were in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2
we came dressed as a character from one of Julia Donaldson's books;

- and if we were in the Juniors,
Roald Dahl was the creator of our character.

To take part not only did we have to find the right clothes 
but also complete a sheet of information about our character 
in writing and pictures.

In the afternoon we joined together for an assembly: 
- Years 1, 3 and 5
joined Mrs Sumner in the lower hall to talk about our characters;
- Reception, Years 2, 4 & 6
joined Mr Tucker in the upper hall.
