On Monday 24 March Year 1 set off for Windsor Castle.

They entered the castle grounds full of excitement and expectation.

In the education room they learnt about many things
to do with the castle and its history.

About the kitchens, its cooks and their equipment.

About the different rooms, the grounds and the servants.

And they also learnt how the Queen makes somebody a knight.

By that time everybody was ready for lunch!

It was then time to visit different parts of the castle,
see the soldiers ...

and take some pictures ...

before saying 'Good bye' and head for home.
It had been a great day!
