~ Year 6 Visit the Globe Theatre and the
Museum of London - 6J's Day
On 11 February 2013
6J set off for the Globe Theatre and the Museum of London. First stop, West Ruislip
Station, the Central Line, and St Paul's
- where the Cathedral steps offered a photo opportunity.
Across the road,
just before the Millennium Bridge, we paused again!
Once inside the
Globe Theatre we sat in the gallery
to listen to
a description of the theatre
and how it was used in Shakespeare's day. [Click on the large photograph

Then we looked
at the museum section with Tudor costumes
and other things to show with how plays were performed over 400 years ago.
We then set
off back across the Millennium Bridge
and headed towards The Museum of London.
Once we'd had lunch
we set off to explore
the galleries,
with information to find to support our current project - Britain Since
1930.
Ah, 'Watch
With Mother' - 'Andy Pandy' and 'The Flowerpot Men'...
bet Mr Rutter remembers watching this! [Click on either picture to see an
episode]
Before we leave the
museum we take a look at
the Lord Mayor of London's State Coach.
