This is the only picture we have of the floor insulation being laid.
It was taken in the PA store, but it is the same throughout the building.
First plastic sheeting was laid to protect the floor 
from damp rising from the ground.
Then large blocks of insulation were laid on top of it.

The main studio area, the toilets and the Games Shop have underfloor heating.  
The roof void was prepared to house the boiler and the ventilation system.

More plastic sheeting covered the insulation blocks on the floor, 
then the heating pipes were laid out over the whole floor area...

Next, the piping was embedded in a layer of cement.

The floor was almost ready for the wooden blocks that are its final covering.
