After yet more climbing we emerged onto the hillside above Matlock 
and paused for this group photograph

A little exploring and we discovered this great activity trail.

Finally we came down the Heights of Abraham,
did a short tour of Matlock Bath,
and headed for Eyam and the Youth Hostel.

There we had to make our own beds.
The boys had some interesting ways of doing this ....

The girls had some equally interesting ways ...
but we failed to get any pictures of them!

Before our evening meal there was time 
for a reflection on our first day in the education room.

We were ready for our meal.  

As it was wet outside we couldn't go down to the field for games, 
so we tried out the mattress game ...
