After half term things began to move, up went scaffolding, and bricks were laid.

As frames for where the windows will be are put in place 
it begins to look more like the building we envisaged.

The middle of June and the walls begin to reach first floor level.
It is time to put in place the beams that will support the new Junior Staffroom.
Each beam is made to fit exactly into its proper space, 
the last bits finished off by hand using welding equipment.

Portable lifting equipment is used to lift and place each beam in turn.
