Once the room was added to the extension during the first week of the summer holiday, the access hatch through to the first floor level was closed and work started on the ceiling.  First cables were run through for lighting, then insulation was packed in, finally the pasterboard ceiling fixed into place.  

Next, all the materials were cleared out of the quadrangle and the access route closed by bricking up the final section of wall and installing the last window.
Once this was done, the room could be plastered.

The radiators were fitted.
The room has been designed as a staff room so all the units have arrived, ready to be fitted.  Initially it may be used as a teaching area, however.

The start of the autumn term: 
the 'space' is ready, but the furniture yet to be fitted.
